Father Reveals Last Communication with Praka Farizal Before His Death in Lebanon
Praka Farizal Rhomadhon fell while carrying out a world peacekeeping mission under the banner of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). His father, Senam (60), revealed his last communication with the deceased.
Senam said that before the tragic incident, he had spoken on the phone with Praka Farizal.
“The last communication was yesterday afternoon after Maghrib; before that (the incident), after that, it was no longer possible,” said Senam when met by reporters at the mourning house in Padukuhan Ledok, Kapanewon Lendah, Kulon Progo, on Monday (30/3/2026).
He admitted there was no special discussion during the communication with his youngest son. The son only complained about the poor communication signal while calling.
“He didn’t say anything, ‘your signal is bad, Dad’, that’s it. Then it ended,” he said.
Met at the mourning house, Commander of Kodim 0731/Kulon Progo, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Dyan Niti Sukma, said regarding the repatriation of the body, they were still waiting from the TNI Peacekeeping Mission Centre (PMPP).
“We are still communicating with the TNI PMPP regarding the repatriation of the deceased. So currently, it’s still in the waiting stage,” said Dyan.
Dyan continued that the repatriation of the body is being expedited. He hopes that in two days, the body will arrive in Indonesia, provided all administrative processes are completed.
“Insyaallah, hopefully in two days it can reach the homeland. But we will still monitor the repatriation of the deceased,” said Dyan.
Furthermore, regarding the burial plans, Dyan stated that Praka Farizal’s body will be buried in Kulon Progo. This is at the request of the deceased’s family.
“Insyaallah, it will be brought here. Because the family requested the body to be buried here (Kulon Progo),” he explained.
In addition to waiting for the body’s return, the family is also awaiting information on the arrival of Praka Farizal’s wife and child to Kulon Progo. It is known that they are currently in Aceh.
“His family (Praka Farizal) is in Aceh. Not yet (information on arrival here),” said Dyan.

The incident occurred on Sunday (29/3) at the UNIFIL headquarters located near Adchit Al Qusayr, southern Lebanon. The attack happened amid increasing escalation of armed contacts between the Israeli military (IDF) and the Hezbollah group.
TNI Kapuspen, Major General Aulia Dwi Narsullah, explained that the attack targeted soldiers on duty in the field. “Based on reports from the assignment area, the incident affected TNI soldiers who are part of Kompi C UNP 7-1 Satgas Yonmek XXIII-S/UNIFIL,” Aulia stated in his remarks on Monday (30/3).
