PEKANBARU, South Sumatra: The district court sentenced a 40-
year old man to six years in jail for raping his daughter.

Earlier, the prosecutor sought five years in prison for the
man for raping and impregnating his 18-year-old daughter.

Presiding judge Yonisman, reading out the verdict, said the
father has destroyed his daughter's future.

He said the convict had raped his daughter five times since
1994 and threatened to kill her if she told anyone.

The secret became public when the daughter gave birth to a son
on Aug. 12 last year, Antara reported. (31)
