Father in Sidoarjo Beats His 3-Year-Old Biological Child to Death

A child under five in Balongbendo district, Sidoarjo, East Java, died after being subjected to violence. The perpetrator is the child’s biological father. According to detikJatim, the victim identified as R (3). The father is Ahmad Reza Yudiansyah (26), a resident of Kemangsen Village, Balongbendo, Sidoarjo. The perpetrator has been arrested by police. The Balongbendo Police Chief, Kompol Sugeng Sulistiyono, said the incident was uncovered on Friday (6/3) around 09:15 Western Indonesian Time. At that time, the perpetrator asked the local village head to help take his child to the village midwife because he was convulsing. Upon arriving at the village midwife, the victim was advised to be immediately taken to RSUD Sidoarjo Barat. The condition of the victim was already severe and required further medical treatment. Upon arrival at the hospital, the victim was pronounced dead and the body was taken back to the perpetrator’s parents-in-law’s home. The perpetrator briefly prevented nearby residents from viewing the body. “When we checked, there were several bruises on the victim’s body, such as on the forehead, lips, chest, abdomen and thighs,” said Sugeng. From initial interrogation, the perpetrator admitted to having used bare hands to inflict violence on the victim.
