Father in Central Java Rapes Daughter for 9 Years, More Victims Emerge
A man identified by the initials F (51), a resident of Kartasura District, Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java, raped his biological daughter for nine years. The case was only uncovered after the victim finally found the courage to tell her family what she had experienced. The victim had remained silent due to alleged pressure and threats from her father. On 26 April 2026, she disclosed the incidents to her sibling and mother. Upon hearing the confession, the family immediately reported the case to the Sukoharjo Police on 3 May 2026, accompanied by legal counsel. The victim’s legal representative, I Made Ridho Ramadhan, stated that the victim is registered as a Solo resident but lives in Sukoharjo, where the crimes took place. The perpetrator is strongly suspected to be her own father, who committed the acts over nine years. The victim spoke up on 26 April, and a police report was filed on 3 May. Acting Deputy Chief of Sukoharjo Police, Kompol Tiswanti, revealed that the depraved acts had been ongoing for a very long time, with the first incident occurring in 2017 when the victim was in her first year of junior high school, aged 12. The intercourse was carried out with elements of coercion or threats of violence, forcing the terrified victim to comply. The rape continued until 26 April 2026, occurring as frequently as twice a week. The final incident began when the family was gathered together; once the mother fell asleep, F gave the victim a special signal to go to the bedroom, and she complied out of fear. The victim’s lawyer explained that the perpetrator consistently used psychological threats to silence her, threatening to harm her mother if she refused his demands and sometimes brandishing a sharp weapon. As a result of his heinous acts, F faces severe punishment under Article 473 paragraph 9 of Law No. 1/2023 concerning the Criminal Code, or Article 413 of the same law regarding sexual intercourse, which carries a maximum prison sentence of 10 years. After the case gained public attention and F was officially detained, shocking new information emerged. The victim’s legal counsel stated that other victims have come forward, contacting the legal team to report that they too were victimised by F. These individuals visited the office for consultation and have signed powers of attorney to file reports. Ridho described F as a cunning figure who convinced his victims, mostly young women, that he possessed supernatural powers. To persuade his patients, F often performed acts such as pulling a kris or nails from their bodies. According to accounts from the two new victims, young women with psychological issues sought treatment from F, only to find that his therapy method ultimately led to sexual violence. The intercourse occurred more than once, with threats that if they did not comply, misfortune would continue to haunt them.
