The National Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim) has detained Andy Hioe and Jasen Hioe after they were named suspects in a case involving the alleged illegal distribution of nitrous oxide (N2O) gas under the brand Whip Pink. The father and son were placed in the Bareskrim detention centre on Wednesday night, 22 July 2026.

Directorate of Narcotics Crime investigator, Senior Commissioner Zulkarnain, stated that the detention of the two suspects will last for 20 days, from 22 July 2026 to 10 August 2026. They are charged under Article 435 of Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health.

The suspects were taken into custody after fulfilling a second summons for questioning as suspects. The article they are charged with carries criminal penalties for anyone who produces or distributes pharmaceutical preparations that fail to meet security, efficacy, or quality standards.

During the investigation, police uncovered the family relationship between the suspects and their respective roles in the company. The company, PT Suplaindo Sukses Sejahtera, is administratively registered under Jasen Hioe’s name, according to its business identification number and deed of establishment. However, investigators found that Andy Hioe is the actual owner and manages the company’s operations.
