Fatal Accident on Pantura Indramayu Claims 10 Lives

A traffic accident on the Pantura route in Indramayu has claimed ten lives. The incident occurred when a Gran Max pickup, carrying wedding guests and bearing police number E 8559 RB, was travelling from Jakarta to Cirebon. According to Indramayu Police Traffic Unit Head AKP Undang Syarif Hidayat, the pickup suddenly stopped in the right lane in the Kiajaran Kulon area, Lohbener District, on Sunday afternoon. A wing box truck approaching from behind was unable to brake in time and struck the vehicle. The impact pushed the pickup into the opposite lane, where it was hit by an oncoming flatbed truck. Three victims died at the scene, while seven others succumbed to their injuries in hospital. Two people sustained serious injuries and are receiving intensive care, and six others suffered minor injuries.
