Faster train service

SEMARANG: A new railway service will be launched next week
that will slash travel time between Jakarta and Surabaya to nine
hours with only one stop in Semarang.

The service will begin on Aug. 17 to coincide with
Independence Day, said Eddy Sasongko, head of the Central Java
