Fast-Food Fried Chicken Outlet Burns Down, Causing 200 Million Rupiah Loss

A fast-food fried chicken outlet ACK located on Jalan Wibisana Barat in Pemecutan Kaja, North Denpasar caught fire on Friday morning, 13 March 2026. The fire was first discovered by an employee arriving to open the establishment.

According to Iptu I Gede Adi Saputra Jaya, Public Relations Officer of Denpasar Police Station, the incident occurred at approximately 07:00 local time. “Initially, the witness, who was an employee, came to open the store. While parking the vehicle, he heard the sound of items falling from inside the shop,” said Adi on Friday, 13 March 2026.

The employee then attempted to look inside through the gap in the rolling door. At that moment, he discovered that fire was already burning inside the building.

“After seeing the fire, the witness immediately opened the rolling door and requested assistance from nearby residents whilst contacting the shop owner,” he explained.

The incident was subsequently reported to police. Personnel from North Denpasar Police Precinct immediately went to the location to conduct an inspection.

Shortly afterwards, three fire-fighting units arrived at the scene at approximately 07:30 local time and immediately began extinguishing efforts. “The fire was successfully extinguished by firefighting officers who arrived at the location,” he said.

As a result of the incident, the kitchen area of the shop and a number of customer chairs were reported to have caught fire. The loss from the fire is estimated at approximately 200 million rupiah.

Preliminary indications suggest the fire was triggered by an electrical short circuit within the building. “The suspected source of the fire originates from an electrical short circuit,” he concluded.
