Fast breaking at Priok port

JAKARTA (JP): Chief of Staff of Jakarta Military District
Command Brig. Gen. Sutiyoso attended a breaking of the fast
gathering with stevedores of Tanjung Priok seaport, North
Jakarta, on Thursday evening.

The ceremony was also attended by A. Harbani, president of the
state-owned port company PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II, Soenardjo,
the Tanjung Priok port administrator and Sutiyoso's wife.

At the ceremony, 60 year-old stevedores, who can no longer
work at the port, were given retirement endowments amounting to
Rp 600,000 (US$272.7).

Out of the Rp 600,000 that each received, Rp 150,000 was
incurred from the stevedores' cooperative, Rp 350,000 from
management funds and the remaining Rp 100,000 from the Tanjung
Priok port.

Orphans at the port also get gifts of clothes from the Jakarta
branch of the Indonesian National Youth Committee. (hhr)
