Farmers trained for reforestation

GORONTALO: The Gorontalo provincial administration is to train
510 farmers to make a success of the reforestation and land
rehabilitation program in the province.

Organizing manager of the training program Noho Moningka said
in Gorontalo city over the weekend that the farmers would be
given information on forestry, the environment and land
rehabilitation and would be trained to regreen barren land.

"If the first training program is successful, the government
will ask more farmers to undergo it in the future," he said.

He said during the six-month training, participants would
receive accommodation, pocket money and other supporting
