Farhan and Erwin Sit Together Amid Rift Rumours

Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan and his deputy, Erwin, were seen sitting together following rumours of a political rift. They attended the inauguration ceremony for civil servants (ASN) side by side.

According to information shared by the Bandung City Communication and Information Office on Tuesday (7/7/2026), Farhan and Erwin appeared seated together. This follows previous reports where Erwin expressed frustration, claiming he had never been involved in government affairs.

Farhan has addressed the status of his relationship with Erwin, confirming that the situation has become more fluid after the two met during a government event.

“Everything is fine. We have been chatting; that is why we attended the inauguration together, it is all safe. The relationship has never been frozen, so it remains fluid,” said Fariente.

Meanwhile, Erwin also responded to the ongoing rumours of a rift. Although they have met in person, he admitted that they have not yet had an intimate discussion.

“We certainly talk. But we haven’t had a deep conversation yet, because I was simply invited. Since I was on the invitation list, I attended. If I weren’t invited, I wouldn’t come, that’s how it is,” said Erwin.
