Fans to observe singer's death

BANDUNG, West Java: Thousands of Nike Ardilla fans will
participate in a long march next week to her grave in Imbanagara,
Ciamis, West Java, to commemorate the first anniversary of the
young singer's death.

The head of the Nike Ardilla fan club, Eddy Wahidin, said
yesterday that fans from as far as Aceh will be participating in
the March 19 event, which will also be joined by several famous
artists.

Nike died here in a car accident last year on her way home
from an all night romp at a local discotheque.

Separately, the Indonesian postal service, PT Pos Indonesia,
announced that it was issuing a commemorative envelope to mark
the occasion. The envelopes will be sold at a price of Rp 2,000.
