Yuvita Tri Rezeki (29), a woman who was the backbone of her family, has endured a harrowing ordeal, allegedly resulting in lifelong disability including blindness. Her brother, Syahrul Ulum (26), described her as a generous person who was the only member of the family to pursue higher education, graduating from a private university in Bandung.

Speaking at the family home in the Permata Hijau complex, Rancaekek, Bandung Regency, on Monday (22/6/2026), Syahrul explained that the family’s concerns began three years ago in 2023. At that time, Yuvita, who worked at a company on Jalan Pasteur in Bandung and lived in a rented room nearby, suddenly stopped making her regular weekly visits home.

Syahrul emotionally recalled how the house they live in was built through his sister’s hard work. The family later discovered that Yuvita had allegedly been held captive and tortured for months by her boyfriend, identified by the initials TH, at his boarding house in Gang Masjid, Cinunuk Village, Cileunyi District. The prolonged abuse reportedly left her blind and permanently disabled.
