Family Reveals Latest Condition of YTR, Abuse Victim in Bandung: Asks for Prayers

The family of YTR, a woman who suffered severe abuse in Bandung, has provided an update on her condition, stating she is scheduled for facial surgery next week. The information was shared by her aunt, Erni, via her personal Instagram account, citing a WhatsApp conversation with YTR’s sibling. According to the message, YTR recently received injections in her face, and the operation is planned for Tuesday of the upcoming week. The family also noted that YTR is still unable to receive visitors as she continues her recovery process. Erni appealed for prayers from the public, writing, “For those who have been asking about YTR’s condition, here is the information from her sibling. Please help pray that YTR’s surgery next week goes smoothly.” The post was met with an outpouring of support and well-wishes from netizens. The case previously came to light after YTR managed to escape and report the repeated abuse. Police from the West Java Regional Police arrested Taufik Hidayat on 23 June 2026 and named him a suspect. During questioning, Taufik admitted to the abuse and expressed remorse. The victim reportedly endured repeated violence over approximately three years while in a relationship with the suspect, resulting in serious injuries including impaired vision in one eye, bone fractures, and psychological trauma.
