The family of the late Dr. Eliza Princila Utami Pakaenoni, known as Dr. Icha, has revealed another name suspected of intimidating the young doctor in East Nusa Tenggara. This brings the total number of alleged intimidators reported by the victim’s family to the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police to four individuals. Family representative Viktor Manbait conveyed this after filing the report alongside Dr. Icha’s family at the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police on Friday (3/7). According to Viktor, the police report submitted by Dr. Icha’s biological father, Gabriel Pakaenoni, names four suspected perpetrators accused of intimidating the late Dr. Icha. The four suspects are three members of the North Central Timor Regency Legislative Council (DPRD TTU), namely Therezius Lazakar (Golkar Party), Robert Tubani (National Awakening Party), and Veronika Lake (Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle), along with a veterinarian who is a civil servant, Maria Mathildis Sau. Maria is an official at the North Central Timor Livestock Service. Viktor stated that the family reported four individuals, all of whom are public officials. Three serve as members of the North Central Timor Regency Legislative Council, and the fourth is a public official working as a veterinarian at the North Central Timor Livestock Service. He explained that the role of veterinarian Maria Mathildis Sau was to join in forcing the late Dr. Icha to obtain anti-venom serum and inject it into a patient suffering from a snakebite. Viktor said Maria imposed her will during the incident, which made Dr. Icha suffer even more following a series of verbal intimidation from the three other individuals. The late Dr. Icha was found dead in a suspected suicide at her home in Baumata, Kupang Regency, on Friday (26/6). She is believed to have taken her own life after experiencing severe depression and psychological distress following intimidation by three North Central Timor Legislative Council members on 13 June while treating a snakebite patient in the Emergency Unit of Leona Hospital, Kefamenanu. The snakebite patient, whose life was successfully saved, is reportedly related to one of the council members who allegedly participated in the intimidation.
