Family Reveals Contents of Dr Icha's Will: Forgives Three DPRD Members, but Legal Process Must Continue

The family of Dr Eliza Princila Utami Pakaenoni, known as Dr Icha, has finally revealed the contents of the will she left before her death. In the letter, the deceased is said to have forgiven three individuals from the Timor Tengah Utara (TTU) Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), although the family insists the legal process must continue. “The deceased’s will states that she has forgiven the three individuals. However, the legal process must still proceed,” said the deceased’s uncle, Fabianus Banase, on Tuesday (30/6/2026). Fabi stated that the family is still in mourning and has not yet taken final steps. The family is currently waiting for the right moment after the third night of mourning before officially reporting the suspects to the NTT Regional Police. “The final stage is the third night tomorrow. After that, the family will decide on the appropriate time to report to the NTT Regional Police, possibly this Friday,” explained the family spokesperson. He added that a number of the deceased’s belongings have also been secured by Kupang Police investigators for the legal process. “There are two mobile phones and other items, the exact details of which I have forgotten, that have been taken by investigators,” he said. Meanwhile, the deceased’s mother, Nur Azizah, expressed her devastation over her daughter’s passing. She said she never imagined her child would experience such pressure leading to tragedy. “I loved her dearly, I loved her so much. Never in my life did I expect this. I never even dreamt that something like this could happen to my child,” said Nur. She also spoke of the difficulty of accepting the reality of losing her child as a mother. “As a mother who gave birth to her with so much love, I now have to accept this reality,” she said. Nur stated that her daughter was suspected of experiencing psychological pressure from certain irresponsible parties. “My child had to lose her life because of certain parties or irresponsible individuals who exerted extraordinary psychological pressure on her,” she said. In her closing statement, she offered an apology and expressed gratitude for the support from various parties. “From this place, I apologise to all of you here and thank you for your attention. This grief is not just our family’s grief, but our collective grief,” she concluded.
