Family of Bank Agent Murder Victim Attacks Suspect's Home

The family of Ririn (31), a bank agent who was killed by robbers, attacked the home of the suspected perpetrator in Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi. They damaged windows and furniture inside the house.

As reported by detikSulsel, the attack occurred on Monday (23/2) afternoon. The suspect’s house is located in Bulo Village, Walenrang.

“It is true that a group from the victim’s family damaged the suspect’s house,” said the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Walenrang Police, Ipda Irfan Natsir, on Monday (23/2/2026).

“The damage to the front of the house includes window glass, doors, and aluminum frames, while the furniture inside includes chairs and display cases,” said Irfan.

Residents said that the victim’s family immediately carried out the vandalism upon arriving at the location. There was some tension between residents and the victim’s family who came.

“They couldn’t contain themselves, and there was some tension. Most of those who came were from the victim’s family from Bosso,” said a resident with the initials AL.

In a circulating video, a number of people can be seen destroying plants in front of the suspect’s house. Some others threw stones at the roof of the house.

Several people were also seen carrying furniture out of the house. At the same time, the sound of breaking glass could be heard from inside the green house.

It is known that Ririn was killed by robbers who targeted the bank agency on Wednesday (18/2) at around 2:00 p.m. local time.

“It is true that the incident happened this afternoon, the victim, a BRILink agent, was killed and robbed by an unknown person,” said Ipda Irfan in a statement on Wednesday (18/2).
