Family murdered in Rokan Hilir regency

PEKANBARU, Riau: Mysterious assailants have stabbed and beaten
to death four people from one family in Rokan Hilir, a senior
police officer said on Wednesday.

The four -- Makmur Sihombing, 35, his wife, Linda Boru
Sihombing, 40, and their two sons, Rizal, 5 and Ricardo, 1 --
were found dead on Monday night in their house in the regency.

Another son, Darwis Sihombing, escaped the attack and quickly
reported the murder to his neighbors, who contacted the police.

Police were still in the dark about the motive for the
murders, regional police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Wawan Irawan said.
