Families of Fallen TNI Soldiers in Lebanon to Receive Rp 1.8 Billion Compensation
The families of three TNI soldiers who perished in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) peacekeeping mission will each receive compensation of around Rp 1.8 billion. The three soldiers will also receive posthumous promotions and award medals. According to detikNews, the fallen soldiers are Captain Inf Zulmi Aditya Iskandar, Staff Sergeant Muhammad Nur Ikhwan, and Private First Class Farizal Rhomadhon. TNI Commander General Agus Subianto has ensured that the rights of the three soldiers are fulfilled. “In addition to the cash compensation, the three fallen soldiers will also receive Extraordinary Promotion for Non-War Military Operations Posthumously (KPLB OMSPA) and the ‘Dag Hammarskjold’ Medal award,” said Agus in a statement from the TNI Information Centre, Wednesday (1/4/2026). The compensation, which is the right of the three soldiers, consists of insurance savings cash value, special death risk compensation, scholarships for two children, UN death compensation, watzah funds, AD TWP, personal accident coverage, and banking fallen soldier compensation. The cash compensation to be received by the three soldiers’ families: - Captain Inf Zulmi Aditya Iskandar amounting to Rp 1,894,688,236 - Staff Sergeant Muhammad Nur Ikhwan amounting to Rp 1,846,309,049 - Private First Class Farizal Rhomadhon amounting to Rp 1,854,075,205 The families of the three soldiers will also receive continued salaries for 12 months (consisting of basic salary, meal allowance (ULP), and position allowance), as well as widow’s pension after the continued salary payments are completed. Previously reported, the peacekeeping contingent named Private First Class Farizal Rhomadhon was killed on Sunday (29/3) after a projectile exploded near one of the group’s positions near Adchit al-Qusayr village in southern Lebanon. On Monday (30/3), the UN confirmed two more TNI soldiers died after an explosion hit the UNIFIL logistics convoy. Meanwhile, two others were injured. The incident occurred near Bani Hayyan in southern Lebanon. President Prabowo Subianto conveyed deep condolences over the deaths of the three TNI soldiers while carrying out their duties in the peacekeeping mission in Lebanon. Prabowo expressed condolences to the soldiers’ families and paid tribute to their service and sacrifice in fulfilling national duties.
