FAM may deny Singapore
KUALA LUMPUR (AFP): Malaysian football officials may kick
Singapore out of the country's premier soccer league over its
"lackadaisical" attitude to football corruption.
After inspecting a report by Singapore authorities on its
investigation into match-fixing, Malaysian officials said they
were dissatisfied with Singapore's probe, local news reports said
yesterday.
Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) deputy president Prince
Abdullah Ahmad Shah said the FAM would make a decision on whether
to allow Singapore to take part in this year's local league "very
soon."
