Fallen Tree on UI-Pasar Minggu Route Disrupts Bogor Commuter Line
Commuter Line services on the Bogor route experienced delays on Wednesday (30/9).
This operational disruption was caused by a fallen tree obstructing the railway tracks between Universitas Indonesia (UI) Station and Pasar Minggu Station.
KAI Commuter, through an official statement, confirmed the incident and apologised to passengers for the inconvenience caused.
“We apologise for the delays on the Bogor Commuter Line due to a fallen tree between Universitas Indonesia and Pasar Minggu Stations,” KAI Commuter stated in its official release.
As a result of the fallen tree, several train sets were forced to halt. Joint teams on the ground are currently working to evacuate the tree trunk and clear the tracks so that train operations can return to normal.
KAI Commuter explained that services on this route could not yet proceed as they are awaiting confirmation regarding the safety of the tracks. “Commuter Line travel is currently on hold while we wait for the location to be declared safe for passage,” the statement continued.
To maintain safety and order, KAI Commuter has urged passengers whose journeys are affected to remain calm and follow instructions from officers on duty. Passengers in a hurry are also advised to use alternative modes of transport.
“We urge all users to follow the directions and information provided by officers on the ground. Information updates will be provided as the situation on-site develops,” KAI Commuter concluded.
