Faizal Assegaf Reports KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to the KPK Oversight Board

Director of PT Sinkos Multimedia Mandiri, Faizal Assegaf, reported KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to the KPK Oversight Board (Dewas) on allegations of breaching the ethical code on Wednesday (15/4). Budi was reported for statements made while delivering examination material of investigators regarding witness Faizal in the alleged corruption case within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise. Faizal engaged the law firm Djamaludin Koedoeboen & Partners to prepare the report. “Based on the authority of the KPK RI Oversight Board under Article 37B of Law No. 19 of 2019, we hereby submit: officially notifying the complaint report to the Chairman and members of the KPK RI Oversight Board,” quoted from the report letter that has been initialled by KPK officials, Jakarta, Wednesday (15/4). Faizal requested that the Dewas KPK summon Budi Prasetyo for an ethical review regarding the alleged breach of the ethical code. Previously, Faizal had also reported Budi to Polda Metro Jaya on allegations of defamation. The report was registered under number: LP/B/2592/IV/2026/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA. Faizal Assegaf was summoned as a witness in the alleged corruption case at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise on 7 April 2026. In addition to him, the KPK also summoned Customs and Excise employee Muhammad Mahzun and Rahmat as witnesses. The examination of these three witnesses is to complete the case file for seven suspects in the alleged bribery for import goods and gratifications case. They are former Director of Investigation and Enforcement of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise for the period 2024-January 2026, Rizal; Head of Subdirectorate of Enforcement Intelligence and Investigation of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (Kasubdit Intel P2 DJBC), Sisprian Subiaksono. Then, Head of Customs and Excise Intelligence Section of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (Kasi Intel DJBC), Orlando; Chairman of the Import Documents Team of PT Blueray, Andri; Customs and Excise Directorate General employee Budiman Bayu Prasojo; Owner of PT Blueray, John Field; and Operational Manager of PT Blueray, Dedy Kurniawan. The suspects have been detained at the KPK Detention House (Rutan). For the PT Blueray party, investigators have handed over the case file to the Public Prosecutor (JPU).
