Faint Traces of Economic Growth in Emitters' Performance - Kontan Insight
KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. Indonesia’s economic growth of 5.61% year-on-year (yoy) in the first quarter of 2026 has not yet been fully reflected in the performance of emitters on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). Amid claims of strong consumption during Ramadan and Eid, the performance of emitters shows varied results. Several major sectors are still under pressure. Based on Kontan research, the majority of the highest profit growth still comes from the commodities, energy, and infrastructure sectors, driven by rising commodity prices. Meanwhile, in the banking sector, growth is still present but tends to be moderate (see table).
