The Vice Chairman of the Golkar Party, Ahmad Doli Kurnia, has spoken out regarding Golkar politician Fahd El Fouz, also known as Fahd A Rafiq, who has recorded a ‘hattrick’ by becoming a suspect in a corruption case for the third time.

Doli revealed that the Golkar Party deeply regrets that Fahd A Rafiq has once again become entangled in a corruption case. He stated that the party had previously provided a second chance for Fahd to be active again in the management after he completed his prison sentences for previous cases.

“As I said at the beginning, we are quite disappointed. Mr Fahd A Rafiq, having had experience facing similar cases multiple times, and having been given a chance as a party official, should have been more careful and more capable of protecting his reputation—not just his personal reputation, but the reputation of the Golkan Party,” Doli said in Jakarta on Wednesday (16/09/2026).

He explained that during the handling of the first and second cases, the Golkar Party did not intervene or provide legal assistance, viewing the matters as personal issues. He noted that the Golkar Party adheres to the principle of cadre development, believing that criminal penalties should serve as a deterrent and a valuable lesson for the individual.

“Once the legal process was complete, we adhered to the principle that punishment should allow a person to learn. When he had completed his legal process, it meant he was back at point zero, even though we truly hoped they would learn a lesson. That is why we included him as a cadre and appointed him as an official,” he explained.

Furthermore, Doli emphasised that Golkar’s leadership routinely reminds all cadres, especially public officials, to obey the law and avoid malpractice or corrupt practices.

He gave a strong signal that this third repetition of such a case is a ‘red mark’ and effectively closes the door on future opportunities for Fahd within the Golkar Party management.

“He has been reminded many times; he hasn’t just been warned, he has fallen into this twice, and now a third time. I believe moving forward, this will be a consideration for the party regarding whether he will be cleared or what happens after his sentence. This will be an important note since it has happened three times. It means that despite being given two chances to manage the party together, he was unable to protect the party’s good name,” Doli asserted.

Previously, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted a sting operation (OTT) in the Jabodetabek area on 14 September 2026. The operation was related to alleged corruption in the management of Building Use Rights (HGB) for PT Summarecon Agung Tbk in Bogor Regency, West Java.

A day later, the KPK named eight individuals as suspects in an alleged bribery case within the Ministry of ATR/BPN. The suspects include the Director General of Land Control and Spatial Order of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Lampri; the Head of the Bogor I Land Office, Sontang Coin Manurung; the President Director of a private company, Adrianto Pitojo Adhi; and Rizal Pahlevi, acting as a private intermediary.

Other suspects include the former Regent of Kebumen, Arif Sugiyanto; Golkar Party DPP Chairman Fahd El Fouz (Fahd A Rafiq); and private individuals Erwin and Muhammad Fakhry. All four are alleged to be trusted associates of the Minister of ATR/BPN, Nusron Wahid.
