Fadli Zon says Ramos-Horta invited Prabowo to Timor-Leste
President Ramos-Horta also invited President Prabowo to Timor-Leste. The President also said that it would certainly be scheduled.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Culture Fadli Zon said Timor-Leste President Jose Ramos-Horta invited Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to visit Timor-Leste.
“President Ramos-Horta also invited President Prabowo to Timor-Leste. The President also said that it would certainly be scheduled,” Fadli said after the meeting at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Friday.
Fadli said Prabowo met Ramos-Horta, who was accompanied by a number of delegates, including Nobel laureates, during the meeting.
During the meeting, Prabowo also conveyed the good neighbour policy with countries bordering Indonesia.
“That is what President Prabowo truly maintains, as he conveyed. He also mentioned several programmes that are now priorities, regarding food self-sufficiency, energy self-sufficiency, and food self-sufficiency being a priority, and of course there is also the Free Nutritious Meals programme,” Fadli said.
According to Fadli, the Head of State explained that Indonesia’s development programmes are in line with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In addition to Ramos-Horta, who is a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, the meeting was also attended by Nobel Prize in Chemistry laureate Frances H. Arnold and Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences laureate Robert C. Merton, as well as several Nobel laureates from various other fields.
