Fadli Zon Introduces Museum Passport to Diaspora in Madrid

Indonesian Minister of Culture Fadli Zon has introduced the Museum Passport programme to the Indonesian diaspora in Madrid, Spain. The programme is an innovation designed to attract visitors and increase public interest in museums by allowing them to collect stamps from various museums and cultural heritage sites. Zon stated that this cultural wealth is a sustainable resource that must be preserved, and emphasised that the newly independent Ministry of Culture will strengthen the protection, development, and promotion of Indonesian culture. He also noted that cultural diplomacy is growing stronger, pointing to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the Prambanan Temple complex as a key moment for strengthening cultural cooperation and a shared commitment to heritage preservation. Zon called on all elements of the nation, including the diaspora, to play a role in safeguarding and promoting Indonesian culture internationally, asserting that the protection of cultural heritage is a shared global responsibility.
