Fadli Zon calls Eid al-Fitr a moment to strengthen social harmony

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Culture Minister Fadli Zon has described the tradition of silaturahmi during Eid al-Fitr as a momentum for strengthening social harmony in society. “Through warm and familial interactions, Eid al-Fitr is not only a religious celebration but also a space for strengthening social harmony amid diversity,” Fadli said in a press statement confirmed in Jakarta on Sunday. “Eid al-Fitr is a momentum for returning to purity, tightening silaturahmi, and reinforcing the spirit of brotherhood,” he added. He stated that there are diverse Eid al-Fitr celebration traditions in various regions of Indonesia, but those traditions are similarly aimed at strengthening brotherhood, maintaining togetherness, and enhancing social harmony. The Culture Minister hopes that this year’s Eid al-Fitr celebration can bring unity, togetherness, and social harmony in Indonesia. Following that, he attended a silaturahmi event with President Prabowo Subianto and members of the Merah Putih Cabinet at the State Palace.
