Secretary-General of the Golkar Party and also Chairman of Golkar’s faction, M Sarmuji, responded to reports that the husband and son of Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq were named as having received funds from a flow of money. Sarmuji said the party would respect the ongoing legal process. ‘We will just wait for the legal process, we respect the (legal) process,’ Sarmuji told reporters at the Golkar Central Executive Board (DPP Golkar) in Slipi, West Jakarta, on Friday, 6 March 2026. ‘We hand over the legal process,’ he added.

Earlier, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said Fadia Arafiq instructed department heads to appoint family-owned companies for procurement services in Pekalongan Regency. The KPK revealed that Fadia’s family company received a total of Rp 46 billion from contracts with the Pekalongan Regency. ‘Throughout 2023-2026, there were inflows to PT RNB amounting to Rp 46 billion sourced from contracts between PT RNB and regional government agencies in Pekalongan Regency,’ said Asep Guntur Rahayu, Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK, at the KPK building in Kuningan, Jakarta, Wednesday (4 March 2026). Of that total, Rp 22 billion was used to pay outsourcing employees’ salaries. The rest was distributed to Fadia’s family amounting to Rp 19 billion. ‘Then from that money, the portion used for paying outsourcing employees’ salaries was Rp 22 billion. The remaining portion was enjoyed and distributed to the regent’s family totalling Rp 19 billion,’ he said. The breakdown is:

  • Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq – Rp 5.5 billion;

  • Fadia’s husband, Ashraff – Rp 1.1 billion;

  • Director of PT RNB Rul Bayatun – Rp 2.3 billion;

  • Fadia’s daughter, Sabiq – Rp 4.6 billion;

  • Fadia’s daughter, Mehnaz Na – Rp 2.5 billion;
