Fadia Arafiq Charged with Orchestrating Outsourcing Projects and Accepting Rp2.8 Billion in Gratuities

Non-active Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq has stood trial over alleged corruption involving the manipulation of outsourcing service projects and the acceptance of gratuities. The case is said to have occurred between 2021 and 2026. During a hearing at the Semarang Corruption Court on Thursday (23/7), Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Public Prosecutor Agus Subagya explained that in the first charge, Fadia allegedly directed several regional apparatus organisations (OPD) within the Pekalongan Regency to ensure PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya (RNB) won the tender for outsourcing services. “The defendant ordered OPD heads to ensure PT RNB won the contract for providing outsourcing services and food and beverages at the Pekalongan Regional General Hospital,” the prosecutor stated. The prosecutor revealed that PT RNB was a company founded by the defendant herself. The alleged manipulation of the procurement process reportedly took place from 2022 to 2026. In a second charge, Fadia was also indicted for accepting gratuities from several OPD heads, with the total value reaching Rp2.8 billion. For her actions, the defendant has been charged under Article 12 letter i and Article 12B of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption, as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001. Responding to the indictment, Fadia Arafiq stated that she would not file an exception or objection to the charges and requested that the trial proceed to the evidentiary stage. The KPK previously arrested Fadia Arafiq in a sting operation on 3 March 2026, related to alleged corrupt practices in the procurement of outsourcing services across various agencies within the Pekalongan Regency Government.
