Fadia Arafiq Case: KPK Says PT RNB Was Founded by Her Husband and Son
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said PT Raja Nusantara Berdaya (RNB), linked to the case involving suspect Fadia Arafiq (FAR), was founded by the regent of Pekalongan’s husband and son. ‘ASH, who is the husband of the Regent and a member of the DPR RI for the 2024-2029 period, together with MSA, the Regent’s son and a member of the Pekalongan Regency DPRD for the 2024-2029 period, were found to have established a company named PT RNB,’ said Asep Guntur Rahayu, Deputy Chairman for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK, at the Red and White Building of the KPK in Jakarta, on Wednesday. ‘ASH is known to be a member of Commission X of the DPR RI, Mukhtaruddin Ashraff Abu, while MSA is a member of the Pekalongan Regency DPRD, Muhammad Sabiq Ashraff.’
‘Moreover, Asep said PT RNB was founded by Ashraff and Sabiq in 2022, or one year after Fadia Arafiq was inaugurated as Pekalongan Regent for the 2021-2025 period. ’In the company’s organisational structure, ASH serves as Commissioner of PT RNB, while MSA was Director for the 2022-2024 period,’ he said. Then in 2024, Faida Arafiq, who is the beneficiary of the company, decided to replace the Director of PT RNB from the position previously held by Sabiq to her sister, RUL. RUL is known to be an employee and confidant of Faida Arafiq, namely Rul Bayatun.’
‘He said PT RNB began winning procurement projects after one year of operation and has continued to do so through 2023-2026. ’Here the conflict begins. Forming a company in itself is not the problem. However, when a public official has a company or is affiliated, and then family members join or actively participate as vendors in the procurement of goods and services in their workplace, that is the starting point of the problem,’ he said.
’Earlier, on 3 March 2026, KPK announced a series of arrest operations during Ramadan, which was also the seventh OTT (tangkap tangan) of the year. The KPK said it arrested Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq with aides and trusted associates in the Semarang area, Central Java. The KPK also announced the arrest of 11 others from Pekalongan, Central Java. On 4 March 2026, KPK named Fadia Arafiq the sole suspect in a case of alleged corruption related to outsourcing services or manpower outsourcing, and other procurement within Pekalongan Regency Government for the 2023-2026 fiscal year.
