Fadia Arafiq Attends First Hearing in Alleged Corruption Case
Former Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq attended her first hearing at the Semarang Corruption Court on Thursday, 23 July 2026, facing charges of corruption in the procurement of goods and services, the provision of outsourced labour, and the acceptance of gratuities. The indictment, read by public prosecutors from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), alleges the offences took place within the Pekalongan Regency Government during the 2023–2026 budget period, with the gratuities totalling IDR 2.89 billion. Arafiq served as regent for the 2021–2025 term and was re-elected for the 2025–2030 period.
