Faculty Strengthens Development Strategy Through Consultation
Rector of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta, Professor Asep Saepudin Jahar, opened the Academic and Institutional Strengthening Consultation for the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), held in Bogor from 20-22 May 2026. The event was attended by FEB Dean Professor Ibnu Qizam, along with faculty leadership including vice-deans, program heads, and program secretaries.
In his speech, Professor Asep Saepudin emphasised the importance of sincere dedication, strengthened cross-sector collaboration, and shared vision among program and faculty leadership as foundational elements for FEB’s future. He stressed that unity and collective effort are key to overcoming modern academic challenges.
“Building a robust institution requires sincere dedication from all, alongside synergistic collaboration. There is no room for partial efforts; progress for FEB and UIN Jakarta can only be achieved through unified, collaborative action,” he stated.
The rector also expressed high appreciation for FEB’s achievements and tangible contributions in supporting the university.
“FEB serves as the main driver in planning, financial management, and university business sector development, positively reinforcing UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta’s financial autonomy,” he added.
The consultation also marked a new milestone for the faculty’s academic development. During the event, the rector symbolically inaugurated the new Master of Management (MM) program at FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.
“The MM program is expected to meet market demands for competent, ethical graduates capable of integrating Islamic values with modern management science,” he said.
The new program’s launch was bolstered by a benchmarking session with leading expert Professor Amin Wibowo (Board of Directors, MBA FEB UGM), who outlined international-grade postgraduate management strategies to establish an initial roadmap for the MM program’s future success.
Over the three-day consultation, FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta committed to translating the rector’s guidance into concrete curriculum and institutional management steps, aiming to establish a globally competitive and internationally renowned business and economics faculty.
