The National Nutrition Agency has confirmed the procurement of motorcycles as operational vehicles for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) project. This was stated by BGN Head Dadan Hindayana following the emergence of a viral video on social media regarding tens of thousands of motorcycles bearing the agency’s nutrition logo.

In the amateur video circulating on social media, the interior and exterior of a building in a certain area are seen lined with motorcycles. The two-wheeled vehicles appear still wrapped in plastic with the BGN logo on the side.

“This is what I’m spilling, all these motorcycles are 70,000 just for the West Java province alone. Now, are they for all employees or just the SPPG kitchen heads, I’m not sure,” said the man recording the video, as uploaded by the Instagram account @bantenraya on Monday, 6 April 2026.

The video recorder stated that the BGN-logoed motorcycles are electric vehicles. He said the BGN motorcycle warehouse is located in West Java, but did not specify the location.

Tempo has compiled several facts regarding the procurement of motorcycles for the MBG project.

  1. Motorcycle Procurement Part of 2025 Budget Planning

BGN Head Dadan Hindayana explained that the procurement of tens of thousands of motorcycles is included in the agency’s 2025 budget planning. He said the realisation process for the MBG motorcycle procurement began gradually at the end of last year.

According to him, the motorcycles will be used by the heads of nutrition fulfilment service units or SPPG. “The purpose of procuring the motorcycles is to support the operations of SPPG Heads,” said Dadan in his statement on Tuesday, 7 April 2026.

  1. MBG Motorcycles Not Yet Distributed

BGN Head Dadan Hindayana assured that the tens of thousands of MBG motorcycles have not yet been distributed to users as of now. He stated that the BGN motorcycles must still go through administrative processes as State Goods before they can be used.

“After everything is complete, they will first be recorded as State Goods,” said Dadan.

  1. BGN: MBG Motorcycle Realisation 21,000 Units

BGN Head Dadan Hindayana denied information claiming that his agency purchased 70,000 motorcycles for MBG operations. He claimed that the motorcycle procurement only reaches 21,000 units.

“The total realisation of electric motorcycles is 21,801 units out of 25,000 units ordered for 2025,” said Dadan.

Dadan hopes that the public will not be easily influenced by unverified information. He stated that the MBG motorcycle procurement is part of the government’s efforts to ensure the smooth running of President Prabowo Subianto’s priority government programme.
