A man was found dead in a hotel in the Setiabudi area of South Jakarta. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, 15 July, remains under public attention after police revealed several facts from their initial investigation. From preliminary examinations, police stated they found no indication of third-party involvement or criminal activity in the incident. Several witnesses have been questioned and evidence has been secured for the investigation. Police suspect the cause of death points to the victim taking his own life. This suspicion is reinforced by the results of the crime scene investigation, witness statements, and the victim’s last communications before he was found dead. The victim was known to be staying at a hotel in the Setiabudi area of South Jakarta. He was not entirely alone at the location, as he was accompanied by a witness who was his personal driver. However, the driver was not inside the room but waiting in the hotel parking area. The victim was later found deceased after a check was conducted. Police explained that the check on the room was carried out after the family contacted the driver. The family asked the driver to check on the victim’s condition.
