Factory Security Guard Found Dead in Bogor After Missing Work for Two Days
A 39-year-old man was found dead at his rented accommodation in Wanaherang village, Gunung Putri district, Bogor, West Java. The victim worked as a factory security guard.
Gunung Putri Police Criminal Investigation Unit chief Ipda Rudolf Pasaribu said the body was discovered after the victim’s colleagues realised he had not been to work for two days.
“His friend checked on him today because he is a security guard and had not come to work for two days,” Rudolf told reporters on Monday (19 October 2026).
He said the body was found that afternoon. The victim’s colleague went to his rented accommodation to check on him.
“They went to the accommodation and knocked, but he did not come out,” he said.
The colleague then contacted the landlord. They forced the door open and found the victim dead.
“After it was opened, they found the victim dead. He was 39 and is suspected to have died of an illness,” Rudolf added.
Police have examined the scene and are waiting for the victim’s family to arrive.
“The victim was from Serang, Banten,” he said.
