Factory in North Bekasi Catches Fire, 10 Fire Engines Deployed

A fire broke out at a factory in Kaliabang Bungur, North Bekasi, Bekasi City. A total of ten fire engines were deployed to the location. “Yes, there is. All sectors have been dispatched,” said Reward April, Head of Facilities and Infrastructure at the Bekasi City Fire Department, when contacted on Monday (17/8/2026). He said the object of the fire was a factory. The extinguishing process is still ongoing. “A factory, yes, a factory. A stationery factory, it seems,” he said. He said ten fire engines were dispatched to the location. However, he was unable to explain the chronology and cause of the fire. “All of them. They have all been dispatched. There are now ten units,” he said. “This is still being managed. We are still managing it, the units have all been dispatched from all sectors,” he added.
