Factions submit inputs on TNI bill
JAKARTA: Factions in the House of Representatives (DPD) have submitted their proposals for inclusion in the deliberation of the Indonesian Military (TNI) bill.
Franklin W. Kayhatu, deputy chairman of the House defense commission, said on Thursday the proposals would be clear only after each faction gave an explanation.
According to him, most factions made comments on TNI's professionalism, territorial role, and articles that allow active military officers to take a position in the bureaucracy.
Franklin who is a member of the Navy said military leaders were serious in their commitment to reforming the military as a whole. - JP
