The post narrated that Ridwan Kamil had declared his readiness to re-enter the political contest in West Java for the 2029 regional election. The narration read: “RIDWAN KAMIL: READY TO RUN IN THE 2029 WEST JAVA GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION. READY EVEN IF IT MEANS OPPOSING THE INCUMBENT, KANG DEDI MULYADI.!!” However, investigations found no official information or statements from the government or credible media confirming Ridwan Kamil’s readiness to run in the 2029 West Java gubernatorial election against Dedi Mulyadi. The investigation revealed that the photograph of Ridwan Kamil used in the post was old documentation published by Jawa Pos when he was still serving as West Java Governor and giving statements to the press. The narrative regarding the 2029 candidacy was added by the social media account without providing any official source. Furthermore, to date, there have been no official stages or candidacy announcements for the 2029 West Java gubernatorial election from any political party or the General Election Commission.
