Facing US-Israel Aggression, Iranian Embassy in Indonesia Opens Donation Account
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Indonesia has opened a bank account for channelling donations to the country, which is currently facing attacks from the United States (US) and Israel coalition.
“We were asked so often that we gave up (could not answer -ed) regarding the aid that the Indonesian people wanted to deliver to the Iranian people. Therefore, we then opened that aid account,” said the Iranian Ambassador to Indonesia, Mohammad Boroujerdi, in the Pondok Labu area, South Jakarta, on Friday (3/4/2026).
Boroujerdi explained that the bank account number for aid to Iran was announced on the social media account of the Iranian Embassy to Indonesia.
The Bank BRI account number is 020601002438302 in the name of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“What is clear is that we do not look at the amount of the aid; no matter how small, it is very meaningful to us. It shows the participation and great attention from the Indonesian people, which strengthens us who are still struggling at this time,” said Boroujerdi, speaking in Persian, translated by the man nearby.
Boroujerdi thanked the Indonesian people who sympathise with Iran.
He noted that many flower arrangements were sent to the Iranian Embassy office in Jakarta, as well as letters that could not be replied to in time.
“We express our utmost thanks to them,” he said.
“What is clear is that we see that the Indonesian people and the Indonesian government also show their stance of always accompanying us and always giving us support,” he said.
