Facing Persita Tangerang, Malut United Aims for Victory in Their Last Home Game
MALUT United is looking forward to the final home game of this season with a clear target: to win against Persita Tangerang in the continuation of the Super League 2025/2026. The match will be held at the Gelora Kie Raha Stadium, Ternate, on Saturday (16/5) at 9:00 PM local time.
Malut United’s head coach, Hendri Susilo, confirmed that his team is ready to give their best to end the last home game of the season with a positive result. He stated this during a press conference in Ternate on Friday (15/5).
“We will try to show our best performance and end the last home game of this season with three points,” said Hendri.
After bringing home six points from three away matches in Central Java, the team nicknamed Laskar Kie Raha returned to Ternate with high confidence to maintain their positive momentum.
However, Malut United will be without midfielder Wbeymar Angulo, who is absent due to a red card in the previous match against PSIM. Nevertheless, Hendri assured that the team’s overall condition remains good and ready to compete.
“The training has been going well. All players are in good condition and ready to be deployed against Persita,” he said.
The 60-year-old coach also emphasized that Angulo’s absence will not disrupt the team’s game balance. He mentioned that he still has several options in midfield.
“We still have many choices like Manahati, Alwi, Tri, and Cardoso. We have tried them all, and they have been performing well, so Angulo’s absence is not a major problem,” he explained.
On the opposing side, Persita Tangerang will also not be playing with their full strength after one of their key players, Javlon Guseynov, is absent due to a red card.
Malut United’s midfielder, Frets Butuan, believes that Persita remains a dangerous opponent even in less-than-ideal conditions.
“Even without Javlon, Persita is still a dangerous team because they will definitely want to bounce back and earn points. I personally focus on the coach’s instructions and the team’s preparation,” said Frets.
The player from Jailolo, North Maluku, also emphasized that the entire squad is determined to present a victory for their supporters.
“We will fight our best to win three points,” he said.
In terms of past meetings, the two teams have met three times in the top-tier competition in Indonesia. Malut United recorded one win, while the other two matches ended in a draw.
Currently, Persita is in ninth place in the standings with 44 points, while Malut United is in sixth place with 52 points.
