F5 Launches Insight, Making IT System and AI Monitoring Easier

KOMPAS.com - The US-based application security company F5 has released a major update to its F5 Application Delivery and Security Platform (ADSP). ADSP is a system used to manage, secure, and connect applications across various IT environments. This update was introduced at the AppWorld event held in Las Vegas last month. Overall, the update is aimed at helping companies simplify operations of increasingly complex IT systems, including those related to AI usage. F5 highlights that many organisations or companies currently must manage applications scattered across various locations, from data centres and clouds to the edge (locations near users). “Most operational teams today are stuck managing complexity they never planned for,” said Kunal Anand, Chief Product Officer at F5, in an official statement received by KompasTekno. “They face dozens of tools and thousands of alerts, but with minimal relevant insights. F5 ADSP simplifies all that into one platform,” he added. One of the updates introduced is F5 Insight. F5 Insight for ADSP functions as an observability system (comprehensive system monitoring) that helps IT teams view the condition of applications and infrastructure in real-time. This is important in hybrid and multicloud environments, where applications are spread across various platforms. Additionally, F5 Insight also provides actionable intelligence. Not only displaying data, the system also offers performance indicators (KPIs) and visualisations that help teams understand problems and take action more quickly before they impact users. Another highlighted feature is AI-based proactive guidance. By leveraging the integration of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and support for various large language models (LLMs), the system can provide predictive analysis and natural language-based recommendations. In simple terms, the system can “explain” operational conditions and suggest necessary steps. F5 Insight is available as self-managed software or in a SaaS (cloud-based service) model.
