Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar stated that the F Forever concert at Indonesia Arena in Senayan, Jakarta on Friday, 29 May, proves Indonesia’s ability to host world-class events.

“The F Forever concert shows Indonesia has the capacity to deliver world-class performances. From stage design, technology to audience experience, it reflects the growing maturity and competitiveness of Indonesia’s creative industry, particularly in performing arts, on the international stage,” Umar said in an official statement confirmed in Jakarta on Sunday.

Umar noted that the presence of international concerts also proves Indonesia’s creative industry, especially the performing arts subsector, continues to grow and can be trusted to host world-class events.

The grandeur of the F Forever concert reflects the rapid development of Indonesia’s performing arts industry. The concert featured a 360-degree stage concept combined with large LED screens and a circular stage extending into the audience area.

This modern stage design provided an immersive experience while demonstrating Indonesia’s creative industry capability to support international concerts to global standards.

In recent years, Indonesia has increasingly been trusted as a destination for international concerts and performances. The presence of global artists in Indonesia not only highlights the size of the domestic entertainment market but also demonstrates the readiness of the national creative industry ecosystem, from promoters and creative workers to production technology and internationally standardised venue facilities.

This growth is a positive signal that the performing arts subsector can drive the national creative economy. Concert and entertainment activities also generate a multiplier effect across sectors such as hospitality, transport, cuisine, fashion, and local SMEs that operate during events.

Umar stressed that Indonesia’s creative industry development is not just evident in the grandeur of performances but also in the economic impact generated for communities.

“Creative economy is not just about entertainment, but how creations open job opportunities and stimulate community economies. International concerts like this are concrete proof that Indonesia’s creative industry continues to grow, creating employment and involving many local talents across various industry sectors,” Umar said.

The F Forever concert was held with great enthusiasm from fans. The vocal group, formerly known as F4, returned to delight fans with a nostalgic yet modern and spectacular performance. Thousands of attendees filled the arena, held from 28-30 May 2026, to witness the members long known for their music and popular Asian television series.

Beyond delivering entertainment, the concert showcased strong collaboration between event organisers, local creative workers, and Indonesia’s performance industry infrastructure. The use of lighting technology, sound systems, and large-scale stage design reflects Indonesia’s growing readiness to become a hub for international concerts and performances in Asia.
