Extra train tickets still plentiful

JAKARTA: The tickets for several additional executive trains
departing Jakarta from Nov. 18 to Nov. 26 are still available as
only a few seats have been reserved, an official said on Tuesday.

Ita Yunaningsih, a staff member of Juanda reservation center
said the additional trains will head to, among other places,
Surakarta and Surabaya.

All the first-class train tickets for departure dates before
the Idul Fitri holiday were snapped up, largely on Nov. 1, the
first day PT KAI opened its ticket sales for the holiday period.

It is customary for people to go back to their hometowns to
celebrate Idul Fitri. The holiday which marks the end of the
fasting month of Ramadhan is expected to fall on Nov. 25.--JP
