'Extra Joss' suing 'Enerjos' over name

JAKARTA: Pharmaceutical company PT Dankos Laboratories,
through its subsidiary, is suing rival PT Sayap Mas Utama over
the brand name of their energy drink products.

In a statement sent to the Jakarta Stock Exchange, publicly
listed subsidiary of Dankos, PT Bintang Toedjoe -- the owner of
the famous brand Extra Joss -- claimed that Sayap Mas' energy
drink Enerjos was too similar in name to its brand.

Dankos, however, countered that it had listed the brand
earlier than Sayap Mas in Indonesia, as well as in several other
countries.

The lawsuit was submitted to the Central Jakarta Commercial
Court on Feb. 15. -- JP-- AFP
