Extra Efforts to Meet Excise and Export Duty Revenue Targets - Bisnis Indonesia Premium

Bisnis.com, JAKARTA — Customs and excise revenues contracted consecutively during the first three months of 2026. Authorities are estimated to need additional efforts to secure collections amid the turmoil of rising oil prices and a plunge in cigarette production at the end of the year. Based on the latest data up to the end of March 2026, customs and excise revenues became the state revenue with the deepest contraction at 12.6% (yoy). Its realisation up to the first quarter of 2026 was Rp67.9 trillion, or only 20.2% of the target of Rp336 trillion.
