South Bekasi Police Sector is still investigating the alleged extortion against a warteg guard in the Jalan Raya Pekayon area, RT 02/02, Jakasetia Ward, South Bekasi Subdistrict, Bekasi City.

South Bekasi Police Chief Commissioner Suparmin stated that, based on preliminary investigation results, the man suspected of carrying out the extortion is not a resident of the area where the incident occurred.

“Until now, the case is still under investigation. He (the perpetrator) is from outside the area. And this is the first time it has happened,” Suparmin said when confirmed by Kompas.com via message on Wednesday (15/4/2026).

“Based on information from officers, the suspect is suspected to be somewhat impaired or suffering from mental disturbances,” Suparmin added.

He further mentioned that the police have gone to the scene to conduct checks after the incident video went viral on social media and have met with the victim.

“We have checked the scene and met directly with the victim,” he said.

Previously reported, a warteg guard named Tsani Sholehatun claimed to be a victim of extortion by an unknown man. The incident occurred on Monday (13/4/2026) and went viral after the video was uploaded by the Instagram account @moviestory_raisan.

In the video, a man wearing a t-shirt and shorts while carrying a black plastic bag is seen forcing the victim, who was guarding the warteg, to give him money.

“You’re asking, right? I already said sorry, Sir. You’re still forcing!” Tsani said in the video.

The perpetrator also uttered intimidating words even after receiving money from the victim.

“I said it twice. You’re a rich person, acting as you please with your mouth! Don’t act like you’re showing off with your mouth! My hand is above yours, Ma’am! If you force it, I won’t hold back. I respect you as a woman, I respect you as a human. Watch your mouth! Don’t you know your mouth is your honour?” the man said.

Through a statement on her personal Instagram account, Tsani also mentioned that the perpetrator issued threats before leaving the location.

“Finally before leaving, he said ‘watch out if we meet on the road’, ‘watch out I’ll come back’, ‘don’t blame if things get damaged’,” Tsani wrote.
