The Assistant for Supervision (Aswas) at the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) has scheduled an examination of Medan District Chief Prosecutor Ridwan Sujana Angsar for Monday morning (4/5/2026).

Ridwan will be questioned in Kupang around 09:00 WITA regarding allegations of extorting contractor Hironimus Sonbay, alias Roni. Roni is currently a defendant in a corruption case involving the renovation of primary and secondary school buildings in Kupang City and Kupang Regency.

The Head of Legal Information Section at Kejati NTT, Anak Agung Raka Putra Dharmana, stated that they are still verifying the information with the supervision division. He mentioned that he has not yet received official confirmation.

“Tomorrow night, I’ll check first. If there’s information, I’ll let you know because I haven’t received confirmation from the supervision division,” Raka said when contacted by detikBali on Sunday (3/5/2026).

In addition to Ridwan, Roni’s lawyer, Fransisco Bessi, is also scheduled to be examined as a witness in the same case. Based on letter number B-64/N.3.7/H.III.3/04/2026 obtained by detikBali, Fransisco is requested to appear at 09:00 WITA.

He will be asked for statements by the Assistant for Supervision at Kejati NTT, Alfred Tasik Palullungan, on the third floor of the supervision division.

“To hear his statement as a witness in the internal prosecutorial examination related to allegations of disciplinary violations committed by certain prosecutors at the East Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor’s Office,” states the letter addressed to Fransisco, quoted on Sunday night.

The letter mentions that the clarification is based on the order from the Head of Kejati NTT number Prin-284/N.3/H.III.3/04/2026 dated 29 April 2026.

Fransisco confirmed the existence of the letter. He stated that the examination might be conducted simultaneously with Ridwan, but he refused to be examined at the same time.

“I am also being examined tomorrow, but I don’t want to be with Ridwan,” said Fransisco.

Meanwhile, Ridwan Angsar has not responded to detikBali’s request for confirmation regarding the examination schedule.

Previously, Kejati NTT revealed plans to examine two prosecutors suspected of extorting Hironimus Sonbay (33). The two are Ridwan Sujana Angsar and Noven Verderikus Bulan.

Ridwan currently serves as the Chief Prosecutor of Medan, North Sumatra, while Noven Bulan serves as the Coordinator for General Criminal Affairs (Pidum) at Kejati NTT. Both are suspected of extorting Roni, who is now a defendant in the corruption case of rehabilitating school buildings in Kupang City and Kupang Regency.

“So after we received that information, the Head of Kejati NTT immediately ordered Aswas to immediately carry out clarification and examination regarding the truth of it,” said the Assistant for Intelligence (Asintel) at Kejati NTT, Muhammad Ahsan Thamrin, when interviewed at his office on Wednesday (29/4/2026).

Ahsan said the examination would be conducted soon. He stated that the Kejati NTT apparatus is shocked by the allegations.

“We will carry out the examination as soon as possible in the next few days,” explained Ahsan.

According to him, if in the examination Ridwan and Noven are proven to have committed extortion, they will be subject to sanctions, from mild to severe.

“However, everything depends on the results of the examination,” clarified Ahsan.
