Extortion case against Pajo subdistrict head by three prosecutors now with Jamwas
The Head of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor’s Office, Wahyudi, has stated that the alleged extortion case against the Pajo subdistrict head by three prosecutors formerly assigned to the Dompu District Prosecutor’s Office is now on the examination desk of the Junior Attorney General for Supervision (Jamwas) at the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia. “It is already with Jamwas,” said Wahyudi when confirmed about the case’s progress following an inspection by the Head of the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office into the matter in Mataram on Friday. By conveying this, he admitted he could not provide any other statement before there is a result from the Jamwas examination. “So, we cannot dictate to them (Jamwas) regarding the timing of the decision; we will wait,” he stated. Regarding the results of the case inspection, Wahyudi chose not to disclose them to the public before receiving the outcome from the Attorney General’s Office. The extortion allegations arose from the process of executing a detention order based on a legally binding verdict in an assault case involving Imran in his capacity as Pajo Subdistrict Head, Dompu Regency. During that moment, Imran claimed he was asked for tens of millions of rupiah by the three prosecutors at the Dompu District Prosecutor’s Office.
