Extortion case against Pajo subdistrict head by three prosecutors now with Jamwas

Mataram (ANTARA) - The Head of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor’s Office, Wahyudi, stated that the alleged extortion case against the Pajo District Head by three prosecutors, who previously served at the Dompu District Prosecutor’s Office, has reached the examination desk of the Attorney General’s Supervisory Division (Jamwas) of the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office.

“It is already with Jamwas (Attorney General’s Supervisory Division),” said Wahyudi, when confirmed regarding the development of the case following an inspection of the case involving the three prosecutors in Mataram on Friday.

By conveying this, he admitted that he could not provide further statements until the results of the examination by the Attorney General’s Supervisory Division are available.

“Therefore, we cannot dictate the timing of the decision there (Jamwas); we must wait,” he said.

Regarding the results of the case inspection, Wahyudi chose not to disclose them to the public until the results from the Attorney General’s Office are released.

The allegation of extortion emerged during the execution of a detention order following a final and binding verdict in an assault case involving Imran, the District Head of Pajo, Dompu Regency.

During that period, Imran claimed that he had been asked for tens of millions of rupiah by three prosecutors at the Dompu District Prosecutor’s Office.
