Extending Your Driving Licence? Here are Five Mobile SIM Locations in Jakarta
Jakarta (ANTARA) — The Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of the Jakarta Metro Police has opened a mobile Driving Licence (SIM) service at five different locations across Jakarta on Tuesday.
Based on the official X account @tmcppoldametro, the service is available from 08:00 to 14:00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB) at the following five locations:
East Jakarta at Grand Cakung Mall;
North Jakarta at LTC Glodok;
South Jakarta at Trilogi Kalibata Campus;
West Jakarta at the South Lobby of Ciputra Mall;
Central Jakarta at the Lapangan Banteng Post Office.
When visiting the service counter, applicants are required to complete a form and undergo health and psychological testing.
The mobile SIM counter only serves renewals for Class A or Class C driving licences that are approaching expiration. If a driving licence has already expired, the holder must visit the SIM Administrative Service Unit (Satpas) office due to different documentation requirements.
Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 76 of 2020 concerning the types and tariffs of state revenue other than taxes (PNBP) applicable to the Indonesian Police, the cost is IDR 80,000 for Class A driving licences and IDR 75,000 for Class C driving licences.
In addition to these fees, applicants must also pay an additional charge for psychological testing of IDR 37,500 and insurance fees of IDR 50,000.
