Extended TransJakarta Operations Until 11:59 PM During 2026 Eid Return Flow
During the 2026 Eid Return Flow period, TransJakarta’s operations will be extended until 11:59 PM. In addition, PT TransJakarta is adding several fleets to welcome returnees during the 2026 Eid Return Flow period, as well as strengthening operations for routes integrated with stations and terminals. The Head of Public Relations and CSR Department of TransJakarta, Ayu Wardhani, stated that these measures are focused on major arrival points such as railway stations and intercity bus terminals, which are predicted to be centres of return flow surges. Furthermore, this operational extension follows the arrival schedules of interprovincial intercity (AKAP) train and bus passengers. As part of the operational strengthening strategy, TransJakarta is increasing service frequencies on routes directly connected to transportation hubs by 20 to 50 percent compared to normal days. The main routes to be strengthened during the Return Flow include: BRT Corridor 2A (Pulo Gadung–Rawa Buaya via Balaikota), 4D (Pulo Gadung–Kuningan), and 7F (Kampung Rambutan–Juanda via Cempaka Putih). In addition, Integrated Public Transport (AUI) services such as Tanah Abang–Blok M, Senen–Tanah Abang, and Manggarai–Blok M are also experiencing increased capacity. This service strengthening is focused on strategic points such as Gambir Station, Pasar Senen Station, Manggarai Station, Tanah Abang Station, and Pulo Gebang Terminal. At those locations, TransJakarta ensures a higher availability of fleets, while also accelerating headway to avoid passenger build-up. “At those locations, TransJakarta ensures higher fleet availability than on normal days, while also accelerating headway to avoid passenger density,” she said. In addition to strengthening integrated routes, 24-hour services will continue to operate on main corridors such as Corridor 2 (Pulo Gadung–Monas), Corridor 4 (Pulo Gadung–Galunggung), Corridor 5 (Kampung Melayu–Ancol), Corridor 11 (Kampung Melayu–Pulo Gebang), and Corridor 14 (JIS–Senen). Specifically at Pulo Gebang Terminal, TransJakarta is adding 11 fleet units during the period of 25–27 March 2026 in response to the peak return flow. Ayu explained that this strategy is an adjustment from normal operational patterns to demand-based operations during the Eid period. She assessed that customer movement patterns during the return flow differ from normal days, so strengthening services on integrated routes becomes key to smooth mobility. “With this strategy, TransJakarta reaffirms its role as the backbone of integrated urban transportation, especially during high-mobility moments like the Eid return flow,” she stated.
